As we celebrate the beginning of a new year, Impressions Photography prepares for another special celebration. 2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the studio. I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for the many people that played such an important role in our success. From our wonderful clients, friends, and our amazing wedding community - we have truly been blessed.

To commemorate this important year we will be offering several specials, give-aways and maybe even have a party or two! Check back on the blog from time to time - we'll be posting all of the details soon!

What can we say about Allison and Michael? How about they are SUPER AWESOME! This adorable couple was married at the beautiful beachside Island Inn on Sanibel Island. As Allison put it in her own words "we're two dorks getting married" added a special touch of their self proclaimed "dorkiness" by making place cards ardorned with images of Napolean Dynamite, Chunk from the Goonies, as well as a picture of themselves as kids! It was a great personalized touch to their reception--which we loved!

As the night furthered along, Allison & Mike along with their family and friends showed us their best dance moves as The Steve Farst band played some of their favorite requests!

Just wanted to send out a quick thanks to all of the families that joined us today for our portrait day! I'm a little sun burnt, but it's well worth it! We got some really great pictures! I can't wait to share some of my favorite images here on the blog!

We were very excited to be invited to participate in the Mayfair Hotel's Wedding Show this past week in Miami. If you're not familiar with the hotel, you have to see it, it just oozes with style. And needless to say the event was just as amazing. We had such a wonderful time participating, meeting other amazing wedding vendors and of course meeting couples and talking about their upcoming weddings. I am looking forward to finding myself back at the Mayfair again soon!

I was just given this cell phone picture - I thought it was pretty funny because it's me shooting the pictures in the last blog post:

I've been working on my frequent flier miles over the past few months! This time the event is in Southern California. Jennifer and Corey are getting married this afternoon on the beach. I was very excited when they asked me to fly out to photograph their wedding.

Unlike my past trips, this time I made arrangements to bring along Olivia. She's been quite the helper so far! Yesterday she went scouting locations with me. Here are a few pix that we took while we were on the beach.

I'm about to head out now to start with Jennifer and her girls while they are getting ready. I'll be sure and post pictures of the happy couple soon!

I met bride-to-be Amanda, along with her mom and wedding coordinator, Erica (Exclusive Destination Management) just a little over a week ago when they came into the studio to discuss our services for Amanda's upcoming wedding. Amanda has a huge appreciation for photography, so of course we instantly hit it off! I was thrilled that she choose to use Impressions Photography for her big day, but the question of how they will be able to get their engagement pictures done in time to send their save the date cards out was still a concern. Amanda and groom-to-be Steve live in Nebraska and schedules weren't going to allow them to come down to Fort Myers for the shoot. Amanda asked if I would consider going to them - and of course me and my obsession with travel couldn't say no! So with just a few days notice I packed up my gear and headed to Omaha for their engagement shoot! Amanda and Steve were such wonderful hosts. Amanda, like so many of my clients, is more like a friend now! I had a blast this past weekend and I am very much looking forward to their big day in February when they tie the knot!

We were really excited to be a part of this special day. We have always been fans of Studio RK Salon in Fort Myers, so when stylist, Toni, asked me to photograph her big day, I was thrilled! For a photographer, hair and make-up are so important and as one would suspect the girls all looked amazing! I've included a few shots from the salon - there were way too many from the big day too narrow it down to just a few though! So I've posted a collection of images from the day on our Facebook Fan Page... check them out!
